West Virginia Highlands Conservancy

Description: Formed in 1967 to preserve the natural beauty of the West Virginia Highlands, the Conservancy is the state's oldest environmental advocacy organization. The WVHC has been instrumental in creation of the Monongahela National Forest Wilderness areas and in preventing the destruction of Canaan Valley. The Conservancy is currently campaigning for additional National Forest Wilderness in West Virginia and participating in the current and crucial Mon Forest replanning.

West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals
