Northeast Region Kinship Care Extension Meeting

NERCRD is convening Extension educators, specialists, and professionals for a regional online meeting focused on grandparents raising grandchildren. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
Across the Northeast, Extension programs in multiple states have developed strong and impactful efforts addressing this issue. The need for caregiving and kinship care support continues to grow in our communities, and Extension has been working diligently in this area. Encouragingly, we have already seen meaningful collaboration across state lines. The goals of this meeting are to:
- Bring together Extension professionals working in this program area
- Share current programs, resources, and best practices
- Discuss potential programming and research needs
- Explore opportunities for regional collaboration, including joint programs and research
