June 23rd summit to focus on data center development and digital infrastructure

NERCRD’s Stephen Alessi collaborated with colleagues at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and the Center for Rural Pennsylvania on an upcoming Rural Economic Development Summit focused on data center development and digital infrastructure.
The goal of the summit is to explore the economic impacts of data center development in rural communities, examining workforce and economic development considerations and infrastructure needs. The preliminary agenda is available here (PDF).
The in-person summit will take place on June 23rd in Harrisburg, PA, and also includes a hybrid option for those who want to attend virtually. The event is free but registration is required. Learn more at the Summit homepage.
