Northeast Kinship Care Working Group
Across the Northeast, Extension programs in multiple states have developed strong and impactful efforts to help address the needs of grandparents raising grandchildren. In January 2026, building on the momentum of a webinar on Kinship Care, NERCRD began convening a group of Extension professionals and researchers working in this area to:
- Share current programs, resources, and best practices
- Discuss potential programming and research needs
- Explore opportunities for regional collaboration, including joint programs and research
